With increasing competition from other sparkling wines and headwinds in the UK and France, the challenges to Champagne are manifold, yet top producers are making better champagne than ever, and they are increasingly part of the ‘fine wine’ world. An international crowd of champagne enthusiasts is keen to see how Champagne is changing for the better. How is Champagne countering climate change? How is sustainability implemented and how can Champagne be more transparent in the way it works to be ‘Simply the Best’?

Our New Wave Champagne event, now in its fifth year, has been a successful annual London showcase for the boutique houses and leading small domaines on the cutting edge of change in Champagne. But we have outgrown our St. James’s Room and this year have decided on a bigger Champagne event at the opulent London Landmark Hotel. We have invited the houses we consider the top 100 Champagne producers, based purely on the quality of their wines.

The Future of Champagne will be a central discussion of our trade and press masterclasses – as we learn from The Top 100 about their responses to the real-world pressures they are facing and how they are tackling them.
